Cozy and Congenial, but Mundane.
The town is tiny, but has great restaurants, friendly people, and a generally cozy atmosphere.
The main attraction is the school's own ski mountain, which provides free transportation between the central campus and the mountain during the ski season.
On the downside, there is virtually no nightlife to speak of and there are only about 2 bars in town that can be considered social.

Nothing Special.
The availability of campus housing for all years is quite impressive, but the housing options themselves are nothing to write home about.
Freshman dorms are impossible small and cramped while upperclassman dorms range from closet-sized singles to spacious suites and houses.

Relatively Lax in Most Respects.
Underage drinking gets you a citation; 3 citation gets you a call to the parents.
Marijuana gets you a meeting with the dean; if the dean thinks it is a problem, you get a note home to the parents.
There is virtually no hard drugs being consumed here, so I have no idea what those penalties are.

Depends on Department.
Most of the computers here are in fine working order.
Science building labs have better systems with a wider range of software for obvious reasons.
One of our Mac labs have 21 inch high-res screens, which is sweet.

Only Exists for Seniors and It Sucks Balls.
Only one real bar in town, and they card everyone.
This is a small town in Vermont, do the math.

Lots of Oppurtunities, but Highly Competetive.
The school has ties with many prestigious scholarship committees and organizations, but due to the elite student body, competition is fierce and most of us are too intimidated to even try.

Great Athletic Facilites and Library Access.
The athletics facilities are great: complete fitness center, pool, indoor/outdoor tracks, indoor/outdoor tennis courts, rock climbing wall, squash courts, hockey arena, basketball, it goes on.
We have 3 libraries: Main, Music, Science. All relatively new and well staffed/stocked.

Clichy Just Like High School.
While not as bad as high school, the attractive students generally associate themselves with other attractive students.
Dating is almost non-existent; people prefer casual sex although the girls tends to be prude and are afraid of being judged.
Again, like high-school, girls looking for casual sex prefer athletes, not just for physical attractiveness, but for status.
Overall, girls are attractive and so are the guys; everyone here is obsessed with fitness and are generally in shape.

We Don't Have One.
We have co-ed social houses in place of frats and sororities.
Some throw decent parties, but they are nothing special. Each house has a "type" although almost anyone can pledge. KDR for example is filled with urban-oriented kids while "the Mill" is for hipsters and ADP is filled with football players and their girlfriends.

Incredible Local Resturants and Breweries
Middlebury restaurants have some of the best food since most use local ingredients.
Vermont also has many micro-breweries, one of which is minute away from campus.

Availible When Need...Which Isn't Often
The is public trans buses from campus to other towns, but is otherwise unnecessary since dorms, dining, gym, classes, and everything else is within walking distance.

Mostly White, With Diversity Almost Exclusively from Intl Students
We are one of the whitest schools in the nation. THe only diversity here is from the international community, which rarely interact with the domestic student body.

Easier to Walk Between Places...
There is ample parking space, but the lots are very spaced out and in inconvenient locations. It's takes more time parking and walking from the lot than it does to simply walk.

Great Academics; Bad Party Scene.
You can find out about academics on their website.
What detracts from the Midd experience is the lack of nightlife even though campus police don't do anything.
This is a nerd's paradise, but if you want party, look elsewhere.
