Engaging Professors & Research

Miami of Ohio's chemistry professors are engaging and enthusiastic about their research and teaching. This is extremely helpful in that classes become more interesting and hands on, leading to a better education. We students here are not just allowed to sit back and float through a lecture. Class sizes are small and feel like they're on a one-to-one discussion basis. The undergraduate research opportunities for science majors at Miami are astounding. Not many schools offer the ability to be trained in real life laboratory practices and eventually given a project to work freely on, under a professors guidance, often resulting in a publication in a prestigious science journal for the student.
