VU Greek Life
I feel like our greek life is pretty open. There are a lot of greeks who are friends with independents and even with those of other greek organizations. It's a big influence on campus but you don't have to be in a fraternity or sorority to get involved on campus. I just hate how the girls are stuck in the dorms with no way to customize or stand out as a sorority to outsiders... We can't paint our rooms or anything after being forced to live here.

Not Crazy
There is definitely alcohol on the campus as well as in the frat houses, but it's pretty well hidden to the outside. The frats are very cautious about making sure everyone is inside and in a safe place. Policy enforcement has gotten better over the years (so I've heard) THey can and will arrest but you usually have to be pretty messed up to get pulled over. Drugs aren't a big thing - marijuana is the most common, but I feel that will be everywhere.

It's an Outsiders Dream
I feel Valpo puts a lot of emphasis on it's outward appearance. To visitors, the school is gorgeous and everything is modernized to the extreme. But once you're here, the dorms are awful and even some of the academic buildings are questionable. If I had realized some of these things before deciding to come here, I may have considered another small school.. I always feel safe here, but I hate living here.

Hands on
There is absolutely nothing to do on campus, but its nice that when you get to the upper level courses, we have surgery suites where you actually get hands on experience assisting in surgeries and working with the animals. Teaming up with the local APL helps us to get that hands on experience that employers are looking for.

Tuition..
The tuition isn't atrocious, but it could be better. Financial aid helped me straighten out everything that needed to be, but it'd be nice if the school could offer some sort of scholarship for good grades or extra volunteer work or something. I'm still going to have considerable debt after school is finished...
