It Gets Old
For the most part the meals and variety of food options at Southwestern are good for the first couple of weeks. However after a month or two of the same salad, sandwich, pizza bar it gets old. The main and spotlight lines include dishes which can be customizable to your taste. Our school does however include many local and organic vegetables and fruit selections in every meal. There is definitely a big Greek-Life at Southwestern but you are not excluded from the social scene if you are not in one. The fraternities for the most part are pretty open-minded about who can and cannot go into their houses and most of the usually do host great parties. However, there is some rivalries between certain fraternity houses and their members but they keep it amongst themselves.

Liberal Arts Is the Way to Go!
I never would have imagined that a small liberal arts school would be a place for so much diversity and open-mindedness in a community. Southwestern is like a small hidden jewel that not many people are aware of but almost everyone who experiences it wouldn't change it for the world. The proximity of the campus to Austin allows for students to enjoy many of the aspects of Austin's music and social scene with the smallness and exclusivity of a small campus environment. Faculty are like second-parents to many of the students and spending even a summer in Georgetown usually ends up as an exciting experience. It's hard to go home even during our school-year breaks because we love it so much there!
