Off Campus Dining
In Williamsburg, you could literally eat at a different restaurant every day of the year without any repeats. There is a huge variety ranging from Indian to Thai to Mexican to American. The Green Leaf is where most William & Mary students go to grab a drink or just hang out. In addition to having an enormous amount of restaurants, Williamsburg also has many fast food places (dollar menus included).

Boys and Girls
The scene at W&M is diverse. Typically, walking across campus, you will see some students in sweats and others in full suits (thanks to the new business school). There are over 200 clubs/organizations, so there's pretty much a place for everyone.

DRUGS
W&M has an honor code--which is one of the biggest draws for most of the students. Our honor code means: no lying, stealing, cheating, etc. I'm sure there are at least a few people on campus who may smoke, but I've never interacted with it or been pressured.

Being an Anthropology Major
As far as getting into courses, some of the required Anthropology classes are extremely limited. However, the professors are excellent and very willing to work with students. Every professor has at least one book published (along with major research) and is very passionate about both their area of study and helping undergrads find their way. Get to know the professors, they have a LOT of connections (and they all write pretty awesome recommendations).

Sweet Memories
As a transfer student, I learned about the various traditions of W&M a little later than most of the students in my graduating class. However, I have learned that if I am myself, it is very easy to meet similar people and branch out. One of my favorite things to do is have coffee with my professors (outside of scheduled class time). The workload is pretty heavy, but you've just got to find the balance between work/social life and it will be one of the greatest experiences.

A Different Kind of Old School
W&M is bursting with pride. It is the second oldest school in the nation, so the traditions are pretty set in stone. There are constant renovations and the campus itself keeps getting better and better. If you're an athlete, artist, or a computer programmer, there is a place for you at W&M. There are so many activities every week, sometimes it is difficult to choose. W&M has tons of study abroad opportunities and a campus in DC where students can spend a summer or a semester.
