Beautiful View of the Harbor
Hampton University has a beautiful view of the Harbor. The city is rich with culture for the African American student. Emancipation Oak is directly across from the University. This is where the first slaves in Virginia were read Emancipation Proclamation.

Helpful Professors
The professors at the University want to see you succeed. They make themselves available via email. If you are having problems with the materials, they make themselves available

Business Classes
The classes are challenging. I wish there were more opportunities for internships for business majors

Friendly
The students at Hampton have their own style. There is individuality in dress and activities they participate in. The guys are very friendly to the girls and that is not just to get dates.

Drinking
You are not allowed to participate in any Hampton University function under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you are found to be under the influence, you will have to appear before a review board to determine if you will be expelled.

Close to Other Cities
Virgina is hours away from so many cities. This allows a student to see other major cities and explore more options and to expand your horizon.
