Hampton University Waterfront/Shopping
Hampton University is known as "our home by the sea" because we are located near the water which offers a spectacular waterfront that showcases the sunset/sunrise. There is also an newly built shopping mall near by called the Peninsula town center that offers over 20 stores.

Hampton Apartments
Hampton University offers apartments in walking distance of school that are affordable. The cons are the loud partying environment and low value apartments. So I suggest if you are looking for peace and quiet you should choose apartments further off-campus.

Not a Lot of Parking Spaces
Students are not allowed to bring their cars on campus until their junior year unless they have a job. The permits cost about $60 and they are very strict about what areas you are allowed to park at.

Dining Hall Is Not the Best
The Dining hall services are not great so many students resort to Chick-fil-a or the Pirate Grill which is located in our Student Center. Other options close to campus are Chinese Food, Burger King, or The University Cafe.
