Living on Campus Is Pretty Darn Nice

While the dorms are kinda old, they are really great for getting to know people. I lived in Halls last year and it was soo nice to have the dining hall right down stairs and have the fitness center right next door. While eating at the dining halls does get a little old, living off campus would not be any fun at all!

Parking Is Expensive

I have a general parking pass and it is $162 for a calendar year. This is outdoor parking in designated lot around campus. Sometimes these lots are convienetly located, sometimes it it a 20 minute walk. All of the covered parking spots are $350+ a year.

Street parking is annoying. You can only park on the street for 1 hour at a time (which is annoying for 2 hour classes) and makes it hard for guests to park and stay over. They will give you a ticket if you are there to long...

Korbel Is Amazing!

I really love being an international studies major. I am so happy with my chioce and I can't wait to take even more classes. The professors really know their stuff and are passionate about their research. There is also a 4-1 program where I can get my master's degree in 5 years. The master's program is in the top 10 of the country. I have just had some great opportunites at Korbel.

Safe and Secure

DU is really good about advising people when there has been a safty issue like a breakin on a car. There are the blue light phones everywhere. Campus safty is not the most mighty looking force, but they are very receptive to tips. They like to make sure students are safe.

Buy a Ethernet Cable

The wireless is pretty good but it slows down A LOT from 9-11 and especially at midterms and finals. Comuputer lab is accessable and printing is easy most of the time.

Bar School

DU is a bar school. There are other parties but the parties end at 11 and everyone goes to the bars.

Transportation at DU

One of the great things about DU is that everyone gets a full RTD pass. You can use the light rail and bus systems all for free. Its great for getting down town or even to the airport. We also have a service at our school called WeCar which is where you can rent a car by the hour or the day!
