Should I Go to Hampton?

What I enjoy about HU is my department. Most of the advisors and teachers are so helpful and nice. Even if some teachers seem extremely strict in class they aren't that way at all during office hours (depending on what type of student you are). Your department is there to help you, and depending on the size of it, they will spend a lot of time helping you get situated and (thankfully) not making you run all over campus to get answers. The greeks are very close to each other but they don't isolate the non-greeks, so that pretty cool. The social scene is my only BIG con. You won't really have to much fun socially unless you like sketchy parties and drinking every weekend. If you are above just wanting the social aspect of college and are more into the academics (as I am) then you will be highly satisfied by the education you receive and the teachers (provided that you research the teachers before you register). Registration time is AWFUL! You won't get into your classes until at least 2 weeks after school has begun, and even then you are left with little choices and dreadful times (8am classes anyone??). Food sucks, but there is a lot of outside options that deliver. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: HAVE A CAR, OR KNOW SOMEONE WITH ONE. Because taxis aren't cheap, and Hampton is isolated on a peninsula :(

I would probably say that I would choose Hampton again, even though it has it's numerous flaws. I feel that I will one day be prepared for the business world due to the education that I have received here :)

Financial Aid

I don't have to deal with those processes...THANK GOD! But from what my roommate tells me, it's awful! They make you run all over for answers and no one knows the answers. Instead of just saying "I don't know let me check for you," they send you to someone else who is just as clueless. From what I hear it's pretty ruthless!
