Endless Possiblities
The nightlife surrounding NYU is incredible. There are a variety of bars and night clubs to attend. From sports bars to the more lavish expensive bars. Most are 21 and up, however there are a great number of bars and clubs that don't even check ID's. It just requires a bit of research and exploring. For those who don't want to go out and drink and be around those who do, there are cinemas and theaters open very late at night. Most movie theaters are open 24 hours a day. There are also plenty of restaurants that are open 24 hours with extremely cheap prices. One thing for sure is that NYU does not host parties or good ones anyways. NYU has a strict no-noise, no-alcohol policy. It is best to travel to neighboring campuses for dorm parties and get togethers.

STRICT
The school has a strict guest policy, noise policy, plagiarism policy and drug-alcohol policy. With guests, they must leave their ID's at the front desk with security guards and must be checked whenever they enter or exit which can be a hassle. However, residents can apply for guest passes which allow their guests to stay overnight for up to 3 consecutive nights. The pass allows guests to enter and exit the nyu building without their host being present. Drugs and alcohol are never allowed. The slightest bit of noise and music is likely to attract an RA. RA's from other floors are known to intervene. However, from what I've heard, the punishment for plagiarized work surpasses the consequences for other offenses.

NYU Is Internship Heaven.
I currently intern with Jill Stuart, a fashion designer. I work in the showroom very closely with the designers and other workers. This internship I found on my own but NYU's own internship database is incredible. NYU's location is the dream place for internships. Internships in fashion, marketing, nursing, media relations and sciences are not only easily attainable but many are paid and provide transportation and lunch for their interns. There are no worries or concerns in securing internship opportunities.
