Local Atmosphere at Brown University

Love Prov.

As someone who was originally skeptical of this city I can definitely say there is much more than meets the eye. The diversity of Providence's residents and community issues make it a great place to enjoy, learn from, and affect. I highly recommend participating in the UCAAP pre-orientation program if you are interested in getting involved in community work as a freshman (you also get aligned with great advisors through this program). As far as musical entertainment goes Providence is okay. The venues are quality and the acts that come through are relatively diverse, however, Boston is not too far away and, as a bigger city, has a greater selection of things to do.

Campus Dining at Brown University

A

I Like It.

I am a big fan of the food on campus, however, my parents were not the best cooks. My favorite things are the fact that you can make your own panini if you're not diggin the meal of the night and the Blue Room, which has (pricey) food from a great local bakery and Indian restaurant.
