Girls and Guys
The girls are are definitely above average. You see all different types. Laidback girls in sweats, and others dressed up in heels every day. The guys are average/below average. You'll see a lot of typical good-looking ones on west campus.

Sucks
The weather here is terrible. You completely miss out on fall and spring. Everyone here is in a rush because it's so cold outside. Definitely one of the worst things about the school.

Safe
There's 24 hr security guards in all major dorms. I never feel unsafe walking around campus, even if it's at 2 a.m. from the library. I know some people who feel unsafe, but it really depends on what type of person you are. Obviously, BU is not a gated community so that could add to some dangers, but I don't know of anything serious that's happened.

Average
West campus has the best dining hall. Warren is a close second. From there, the dining halls are average. The GSU has great little restaurants.

Not Too Good
It really depends on what dorm you're placed in as a freshman. If you're in west, you're most likely set to have a good time. Warren is a little more unreliable. Avoid Towers at all costs unless you don't like to party. I wouldn't choose this school again precisely because I was placed in Towers, and the social life is really lacking- also, make sure you want to be in a totally urban setting. There's only a couple of "green" spots on campus, and no one really goes to them anyways. It's also a very large school, so you are just a number and it actually makes it extremely difficult to find your niche that way. However, the convenience of Boston is amazing and the city itself is awesome, just make sure you have others to share it with or else all that doesn't matter.

Pretty Good
I've had a pretty good experience so far with the academics. All of my professors have been extremely knowledgable on subject matter, and all have had the biggest, unique personalities. The registration process can be quite frustrating because they do it in order of the last number on your ID. If you're a 9, you are the last to pick, depending on the semester. You can be stuck getting none of the classes you intended. The workload is pretty heavy, but it mostly depends on what major you have. There are a bunch of places to study: Mugar, SMG library, plus varies study lounges in the dorms.

Pretty Good
The athletic center (Fit Rec) is absolutely amazing. I have never seen a better gym. They have pretty much anything you want. That said, it gets a bit hectic. The GSU (student union) is very nice, connected to Mugar Library. It has very good restaurants. As far as the actual campus, it's very urban so make sure a traditional college campus isn't what you're looking for, or you'll be disappointed.

Very Strict
The police force is SO strict. There is security to get inside of every dorm. You always have to swipe in, and you always have to sign in a guest. The BU Police is located right next to West Campus, which holds the most partiers, so that's quite annoying. Drinking in dorms is not big because you will get caught, and it's pretty serious if you do.
