We're Best at Unimportant Sports
Stanford has officially had the best overall athletics program in the country for the past 16 years. We dominate at almost all women's sports and the other sports that most people don't follow. Recently, the football team has become shockingly good. Unfortunately, men's basketball has lost its former glory. The fan base is relatively small, except for football.

It's Pretty Hard to Get in Serious Trouble
Stanford has very lax policies. We have our own police force who usually look the other way unless you are doing something out of control. There are a few laws that differ from surrounding Palo Alto. Alcohol is never an issue unless you are unable to "take care" of yourself. Underage drinking is not a problem unless you are doing it in public.

Great Weather Almost Year-Round
The weather is never too hot. Even in the summer, 80's is about as high as the temperature goes. In cooler seasons it gets fairly cold at night. By cold, I mean that you may need a hoodie or sweatshirt. There are never temps below freezing. In the winter, there are quite a few rainy days, but there is virtually no rain during other seasons.
