Biochemistry at Mount Holyoke
My biochemistry major is a lot of work, especially because I am pre-med and also majoring in Italian as well. There's always plenty of work, and there are many biology and chemistry courses required for the major. One must also past the comprehensive test for the biochemistry major, and do a presentation for the senior symposium during the spring of your last year. Opportunities for this major are good.

Food Is Good, but Repetitive
Lots of variety, there's 7 dining halls, and they rotate menus, each one serving different things at any given time. It is very vegetarian friendly, but the same exact menus are used over and over, so it can be repetitive.

Snow !
Snows a lot cold during winter. They aren't so good at keeping the ground ice free, so it sucks getting to class when it's snowy or icy.

Friendliness
This is a small close-knit environment. Everyone greets you with a smile and when you're a new or prospective student, the others are eager to help you feel comfortable.

Varsity Sports
If you're serious about sports, probably not the best school for you. It's Division C and there's not a huge following and support from the school at sporting events and games. It's more of an academic environment. If you want to join a club team, there are limited existing groups, though you can always create one. Physical Education is good though- there's plenty of dance and PE courses, and there's even an equestrian center for riding classes!

Beautiful Campus
Large greens, beautiful old dorms and academic buildings. The dorms are spacious and many have bay windows and hardwood floors. A lot of the buildings look like castles! Rolling hills, plenty of trees, equestrian center, two lakes, BEAUTIFUL in the wintertime. It's great.
