Greek Life
Greek life is well and alive at UCR. Greek members are constantly sporting their signs across campus and stationing themselves around the Bell Tower for new recruitment. At times it can feel annoying, but there are so many different types of Sororities and Fraternities that they range from "social" to "academic". I also know friends who seem to socialize well enough outside their commitments to their sororities.

Calm Campus
For the most part, I feel that all forms of authority at UCR is respected across the campus. The police,staff, and professors are available, surveying the students and maintaining a safe environment, but ultimately students are respected and I do not feel that there is an overbearing or over-controlling presence.

Trolleys Are of the Past
Unfortunately UCR's Trolley system was terminated as results of budget cuts. Today, students must rely on carpool, bikes, personal vehicles, or the bus to transport out and to campus sites. On the plus side,the campus is small and it is easy to walk across campus.
