I am tired of the government letting these fast paste schools come into our communities and ripping us off. There should be a law that if the student does not get what student was suppose to be train for , the school should return the funds back to the government .

Well so much for this School ATA Career Education, I finish my course but was not allow to do my externship , After three staff lie to me. So I am out of 1400 + dollars , that I have to pay back to the government , and I am not a Dental Assistant. What do you say about that ?

What role did you play in being prevented from going on externships? It looks like this school has an excellent placement rate. Having done an internship twice in my life (two degrees) I know that schools want graduates and to support the success of students, however, there are sometimes students who fail to follow the rules, expectations, and requests of their program. One of my classmates did not graduate from my program because her behavior was inappropriate and she did not take responsibility for it. When I see a slanderizing post like this I have to think beyond the emotions of the person posting and wonder what role they played in sabotaging their own success. No school takes a student as far as their external/internship and block them from completing it without a responsible reason.

Im sorry that you had that experience there must be a reason you couldnt do your externship

ATA Career Education could have a great Dental Assistant Program if they hire instructor who know their stuff.

I agree

Maybe you should get some helpful advice from student services they are great at what they do and am sure they can help you

I Don't Know If It Truly Works. The staff states that the school has place many graduates in jobs, but for the past few months I have meet about four student who stated to me that they haven't found a job since graduated from the school. But I don't know about Dental Assistant because it a new program.

The school has to report all of their placements to their accreditor so if they are saying the grads are working, they are. Also, remember you don't always know people's situations, some ppl don't want to work, or refuse to actually put out applications and just expect jobs to be handed to them...there are always two sides to every story

The Dental Instructors, Materical – In the begining I had great instructors, but after about 31/2 months in the program, a new instructor was hire and I complaint about her and nothing was done, during that time I lost my interest in the program because the instructor was not being taken serious and she allow the students to hang out and not take thier learning serious. I felt like I was in a counciling session and not in a college dental Assistant Class. She not longer with the school but the damage is already done. Lost my interest and it very hard to get it back. but Iam trying

Dental Assistant Couse Should Be Taken Serious – I came to this school hoping to get a serious education on become a Dental Assistant. But for four an half month is was crazy and confusing and I was very disappointed in the instructor and how she allow students to stop her from teaching the class. I felt like I was in a high school then a college enviroment. I lost many hours of learning and my interest went from 100 % to 65% now Iam having a hard time getting back my interests.
