Keeping the Nose to the Grindstone.
Good amount of courses, when available, not as good as it could have been socially. Ever advancing science and engineering make my school one of the best in the world.

Average Bang for a Buck
There are an adequate amount of dining halls, however, given the cost of a typical meal plan, the food selection and quality is average, at best. While the Aggie Bucks are accepted at establishments off campus, they do not carry as much value as they would on campus.

Typical Fast Food Choices
The off campus choices are typical fast food burger, taco and sandwich establishments. They are close to campus and offer average prices for their products.

Costly Car Ports
Parking is very expensive and in short supply. There is a need for a car as campus buses do not service major transportation hubs. Many of the parking lots are in disrepair, parking fines are plentiful and tow-away zones are strictly enforced.

Review of Off Campus Housing
Apartments offered tend to be older and often in disrepair. Costs are about average for the area and postings for them are made at the Student Rec Center or other gathering areas.

Financial Aid Process
For a University with a large endowment, scholarship awards are too few in number.

Typical Small Town
College Station is a service oriented city located in south central Texas. Lots of fast food and family style restaurants and a few clubs geared to the night life. Fortunately, Houston is about an hour and a half drive, unfortunately, only one Greyhound Bus goes that way, once a day.

Average Campus Housing
Lots of campus housing at Texas A&M University, which becomes more expensive by the year. Dorms are starting to show their age and a bicycle is helpful with travel amongst classroom buildings.

On Campus Great, Could Be Better Off Campus
Travel in and around the campus of Texas A&M University is great as city-sized buses traverse the campus. Unfortunately, there is no service to any other transportation centers.

Massive Yet Mellow
For a large campus, Texas A&M University has excellent security. There are several Campus Police Officers on patrol, adequate lighting and I feel safe while traveling about the campus.

Homogenous Trying to Be Heterogenous
The student body is more homogenous than heterogenous, however, I am certain that the Admissions Office strives to make Texas A&M a diverse University. Economic backgrounds vary, while political beliefs tend to be conservative. Religious groups are allowed space for worship and very little is heard from the Gay community.

They're Part of the in-Crowd
You find the "Fratboy" types for men at Texas A&M, while the women are more the party type and can be reticent, to say the least, when it comes to associating outside their particular ethnic groups. Dress is extremely casual, even slouchy at times and there are quite a few of us who could work on their general appearance.
