Depends Where You Live

The dorms are usually pretty small and not very nice, but it's such a great experience to live on campus freshman year. You get to meet lots of people and make great friends. On the east side of campus, near the Union, the U-Rec, and the LSU Lakes, the best dorms are the honors dorms- West Laville Hall- and the agriculture dorms- Blake Hall. They are very nice, spacious, and don't have a huge partying atmosphere. If you want a partying atmosphere, live in Miller Hall near Sorority Row. East Campus Apartments are a great option for upperclassmen who want an apartment but still want to be able to walk to everything on campus. I recommend touring all the dorms before deciding, but you have to apply early or you might not get your first choice.

Great Athletic Scene

Students are very involved in athletic events at LSU. Football is a huge deal around here. Everyone's really spirited about it and campus is packed on game day. We have a great football program. Although our other sports don't get as much attention, LSU excels in many of them. We have nice athletic facilities for athletes and students who just want to work out. We also have many intramural sports teams for students to play on.
