As a freshman, Hayes is the best dorm. Gillson is older and not as nice inside, whereas Hayes has a better atmosphere, and a nicer view if you are on the east side of the building. All dorms have communal bathrooms, which are always kept very clean by a daily cleaning crew. The cost is high, but what isn't at this school? Finding a room and a roommate that suits you is very easy online with USF's roommate matching process. It's also easy to switch rooms if you are having major problems with your roommate. Living on campus is very convenient, and it's easy to get around.
