Smaller Town Great People
Bozeman is a great Montana town. There is plenty to do especially in the outdoors. There is everything from skiing and hiking to swimming in the reservoir and horseback riding. The people in Bozeman are great, always friendly and willing to help in any situation. The town itself is easy to get around thanks to the free bus system offered not only to college students but also to the public of Bozeman as a whole. Bozeman is very clean and has an amazing array of both brand new and older historical buildings in close proximity to the campus. All in all, it is a wonderful place to attend college.

Very Safe Campus
Montana State University in Bozeman has a fully functioning police station right on campus that can dispatch officers to any location on campus in under 5 minutes. There is also a text notification service offered through the University Police Department (UPD) which sends out alerts, few and far between as they are, of anything dangerous the student body should be aware of. This system can also be used to call for help. MSU is a very safe school thanks to these programs.

All Types of Weather
Bozeman is in Montana and therefore experiences a wide variety of weather conditions throughout the year. Summers are hot and sunny, falls are mild, winters are quite cold and very snowy, and springs are also mild with somewhat frequent rain. That being said, as long as you don't mind walking through the snow to class the weather really doesnt affect campus experience. The snow does offer excellent skiing however which is a plus for many students.
