Local Atmosphere
Charlottesville is a great town. It has a variety of places to eat and hang out. There is definitely plenty of places to shop, but they are really spread out away from Campus. Also, Charlottesville is really close outdoor recreation activities.

Ethnic and Racial Diversity
This university is really diverse. Although the majority or 60% of students are white, there are many international students or those that come from diverse ethnic backgrounds. While this diversity is great, many times students between the different races and ethnicities do not interact that much.

Greek Students Viewed by Non-Greeks
At UVa, non-Greeks view those involved in Fraternities and Sororities as snobbish people. They tend to be very cliquey and very self-centered. There is no interest in getting to know non-Greeks. Also, the socio-economic divide between Greeks and non-Greeks is obvious.
