Football Isn't as Important as Many Think
Although we do not have a Division II Football team, the Tars have a total of 23 varsity sports including Soccer, Lacrosse, Tennis, Basketball, and Rowing. We have strong school spirit and a wonderful mascot, Tommy the Tar, which always appears at the Soccer games.

Just Be Honest
Remember the old phrase, "honesty is the best policy?" Well, that phrase definitely applies to Rollins. Campus Security is pretty observant and can tell when a student is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you are honest with them and don't try to deny it, they will respect you more and the consequences are less severe than if you would have denied it! Also, academically, Rollins has implemented an Honor Code that you must write on all papers, assignments, and tests to enforce your integrity against cheating.

Academics
I'm a Psychology major following the Pre-Med track at Rollins. Since Rollins does not offer a major in a Pre-professional study, they offer tracks which allows you to take the courses that you need to attend graduate school. I do not regret my degree choice because I've always wanted to help people in need.

Not Your Average Meal Plan
Instead of designating a specific amount of meals that one may eat per day or per week, Rollins implemented a "debit card" system which gives you a specific dollar allowance ($2,400 per semester) to use on food. This version of the meal plan is extremely convenient because it works on all the campus dining locations including the C-store (the convenient store) downstairs by the Grille. The variety of eating options range from the campus center food to late night meals (until 2am daily) at the Grille, and even to Dominos, which delivers until 3am!

Campus Living, a Different Experience
After coming from living on my own, it was definitely different moving into a room with a stranger! Freshmen and Sophomores are required to live on campus but as of junior year, they can live in one of the off-campus apartment complexes nearby.

It's Always Sunny in Florida
Just like the show, it's always sunny in Florida which allows students, especially Northerners, to walk around in the crisp, Winter air wearing shorts and flip-flops.
