San Diego is the finest city in America. Great weather! An abundance of activities inside and outside the city, major pro sports teams, lots of outdoor activities, city and rural atmospheres which all have a community feel. There's also LA right around the corner. For recreation there's a wide array of beaches for surfing, swimming or any watersports, there's also a wide variety of hiking, rock climbing and other outdoor activities. And the people in the area are all friendly and open. San Diego is the place to be for college students, or for anyone looking for a great place to live.

Off Campus Housing
It is a bit more difficult to find nice, affordable housing off campus in the San Diego area. Most nice apartments are in the higher price range, and those that are below $1000 are fairly small, older, or are in less desirable areas. If you're looking off campus and can't work full time, you will almost definitely want a roomate to share costs.

SDSU Overall
I have attended 3 other schools and SDSU is by far the nicest mix of campus, location, education, and overall quality I've seen. I wish I had attended SDSU from the start.
