Communication Disorders Program Review

I haven't taken many classes specific to my major yet but from what I've seen, I'm very impressed with the curriculum, the professors, and the interest the professors try to get from the students. The professors really try to engage the students and improve whatever aspects of the class they can to help students and engage them. The work load is appropriate and everything that is taught is useful. The best part about these classes, in my opinion, is that the professors reward students who show up to class by telling them things that will be on the exams that weren't in the powerpoints.

Computers at University of Connecticut

A-

Computer and Technology at Uconn

While I am not very impressed with the wifi access throughout campus, I am very pleased with how much technology is used in the classrooms. Even the older professors use new technology and everyone is open to learning about new things. I am also impressed with the price of printing from the library (just 5c per page). Students do not need their own printers by any means, but a computer is necessary. The library has computers if needed, but they are often being used so it's not safe to rely on just using the library.

Campus Dining at University of Connecticut

A

Great Variety!

There is such a great variety of food between the 8 dining halls. You can choose comfort food, all natural, foreign, almost anything you can think of. Time can be an issue though since the campus is so large, so do you have time to get where you want to go?

So Many Choices- So Hard to Choose!

While the classes do take a lot of effort, there are so many wonderful opportunities on a big campus. The workloads are pretty heavy, but doable. Its so easy to look into other majors and explore your options at UConn!

Campus Strictness at University of Connecticut

B+

Reasonable

I have seen people kicked out of the university for cheating, which I think is fitting. The police aren't terribly strict and for a good reason. When they arrive at an illegal house party, they just break it up, they don't arrest people because they know people are going to party. This encourages students to party in open places where it is easy to access help if needed instead of hiding whatever is going on and getting in more trouble later if someone needs medical care, etc.

Acceptance for Everyone

Coming from such a small hometown with all white people, this was an amazing experience. There is every race you can think of which is a great way to learn new languages and learn about new cultures.
