My experience at Ole Miss was very bittersweet. The campus is absolutely beautiful, and the school gets a lot of hype on what a great place it is. However, not being from the South made my experience as a student here very lonely. The student body here is very southern and it is very difficult to make meaningful friendships. Unless their granddaddy knew your granddaddy, they don't see you as someone that they want to hang out with. Furthermore, as a student that does not drink, it's hard to find activities where you aren't the only sober person in the crowd.
