I Can't Really Say
There are very few undergraduates who choose to live in off-campus housing during their four years at MIT. Most people will live in dorms or fraternity/sorority houses, so I don't know much about living in apartments

Recreational Sports Are Great
Our recreational sports facilities are absolutely amazing. Our Z-center (gym) is state-of-the-art and there are always ways to play a sport in an intramural league or in our wide open field spaces. I can't say much for the varsity sports since I'm not on one, but I can say that the games aren't as widely attended as at Division I sports schools

Extremely Easy
It is extremely easy to declare your major because all you have to do is choose one at the end of your freshman year (and you can still conceivably change it for about a year after that). Before declaring your major, you take required general education classes, so if you don't know what you want to major in or change your mind during that year you don't fall behind in any way.
