Greek Life at University of Washington

A+

Great Organization and Structure

The Greek system at the University of Washington is incredibly diverse, organized, and is one of the best ways to increase your networking capability. The Greek system isn't for everyone, however if you feel you are fit you are guaranteed to find a fraternity or sorority house you like. When it matters most, everyone comes together no matter what house you're from. Last year I attended a memorial service for a Greek student who died and tons of students who weren't from that fraternity house made and effort and attended to pay their respect. Although the Greek system is commonly associated with partying, that is not what it's all about. There are events such brotherhoods and sisterhoods where you really get to know fellow brothers and sisters in your Greek house. And just because you're not in the Greek system at the University of Washington, doesn't mean you're not cool.

Weather at University of Washington

A-

Lots of Clouds

The University of Washington sees a lot of rain. However when the weather is sunny it is very comforting. My absolute favorite time of year is in the spring when the cherry blossoms are flowering and the sun is shinning. For someone who likes to get all four seasons, we do occasionally see that. Fall/Winter of 2011 we got a few extra days off for Thanksgiving because of the amount of snowfall we received.
