Northeastern University Campus Strictness was reviewed by chachachao
B+

Academic Strictness: 2 strikes and you're out. Northeastern is takes plagiarism very seriously. The first time you are caught, you are in danger of failing the course. The second time will result in expulsion. This is from the school website: "If a student is found responsible for violating any of the preceding items, a minimum sanction of deferred suspension will follow. A second violation will meet with expulsion from the University." (http://www.northeastern.edu/osccr/academicintegrity/#Plagiarism)

Social Strictness: The RAs are required to report drug/alcohol use and do not hesitate to call the police. It is prohibited in all freshman dorms and most upperclass housing minus the wet dorm(s).

Northeastern's campus is quite impressive. Even being in the middle of Boston, the college feel is lost. The buildings on campus are mostly new or renovated (minus one cluster of 3-4 buildings that somehow all merge into one giant maze). We have been named one of the greenest campuses in the United States. I'm not surprised. In some parts of campus, there is so much green, you forget you're in a city. Smack dab in the center of a city for that matter. We are a 5 minute walk from the Prudential Center. Two T lines run through the Northeastern campus. The orange line stop has its own station as well as countless buses that run through, and around campus.

The Curry Student Center was renovated just last summer and it looks amazing. The top three floors have hold classrooms, dance studios, and offices. The main floor of curry is a popular study area with booths, tables and couches to study on. There is also a recreational area with pool tables, ping pong tables, two flat screen tv's with Wii's, games available to students, and an air hockey table. There is a is a nice selection of food in Curry, ranging from the only Taco Bell in Boston to a start-up stir-fry company called Kigo Kitchen. Not to mention, there are plenty of DD and Starbucks all over and around campus. A meal plan is required for freshman. There are three dining halls and a few cafe's on campus. Stetson West is known for their stir-fry, which is made while you wait. Stetson East has cookies worth dying for, and IV has a sushi bar, brick oven for pizza, and sandwich/salad stations. All three dining halls have fresh made omelets, and a grill. I find the food quite impressive. There is often fresh fruit which is hard to come by in college and they try to switch it up every day.

Snell Library is a gigantic five story building with seemingly endless rows of books. The second floor was recently renovated to a technology center that is both PC and Mac friendly with group study rooms equipped with giant screens. There are private study rooms on every floor available for reservation. The top two floors are quiet and silent floors respectively. The first and second floors have no advised noise limits and can be used for group studying. The first floor also holds Argo Tea and InfoCommons which can be used by all students to rent equipment or for technology-related questions. The best part is that Snell NEVER closes. That's right, open 24/7 (minus holidays, then there are different hours of operation).

Marino, one of three athletic centers on campus, holds a three floor gym with dance studios, an indoor track, 3 basketball courts, and rows upon rows of athletic equipment. There is also a training center across the street with an aquatic center as well as Mathews Arena which is used for athletic games. Our campus is cray about ice hockey and basketball. Expect big announcements and school spirit during those seasons.

I have a question, you said even in the middle of a big city the college feel is lost. Did you mean it isn't lost? Everything else seems really nice but that's my major concern since it's in the middle of Boston.
