Computers at Gonzaga University

A-

Many Opportunities

Gonzaga has several computer labs in each campus building. The library has desktop computers to use on the first and second floors, with laptops students can also rent. While there are several available, students frequently use them and my only complaint would be that there aren't enough, but I have personally always been able to find a computer when I needed one.

Weather at Gonzaga University

C-

Variety

Spokane provides a variety of different weather. Many people probably like the different seasons but for me, it is a lot to handle. Temperatures begin in the fall at 90 degrees and dip as low as 0 in the dead of winter. It snows a lot and the heat doesn't pick up by the time school ends in May. I'm thankful I live somewhere warm so that it counters the cold climates.

Facilities at Gonzaga University

A

Many Opportunities

The athletic center on campus is fairly large with an indoor pool, free weights, and cardio machines. The gym is often crowded with people at certain times of day, but if you go in the morning it is a lot easier to find open machines. The library is awesome! I work there and it is four stories, providing students with many different environments to study in. Each floor is designated with how much noise is allowable, from talking in groups to no whispering allowed at all. The library has lots of books available and other services that most colleges don't feature. There are a wide range of campus activities available for students, from outdoor adventures, to student government, to religious events and more. The campus itself is beautiful; the four seasons allow it to change its appearance four times a year.

Little Knowledge

I live on-campus as a sophomore so I haven't heard too much or had any personal experience with off-campus housing.

Diversity at Gonzaga University

C

Little Diversity

To be honest, my experience at Gonzaga has been one of little diversity. I know students who are from other countries, but the majority, and I mean overwhelming majority, is white students. I wouldn't describe it as a diverse campus. I would say that most students are from the same economic background, simply because the people I have come across all seem to be from money and rightfully so, since Gonzaga is an expensive, private institution. Political beliefs do vary at my school. About half of the students at Gonzaga are Catholic/Christian, while the rest are a variety of other religions. Most people on campus are straight, but there are quite a few students who are gay.
