Sports
Obviously football runs the school, and you don't hear many people complaining about that. The school spirit is absolutely amazing and there is nothing in this world like waking up on game day with that excitement in the air! I don't know much about the other athletic teams, unfortunately.

The Strip
Everyone goes to the clubs on the strip on the weekends (or weekdays, for that matter). Harry's is the "freshman bar", where they're super lenient about fake IDs. 348-ride, our drunk bus, will literally save your life freshman year more times than you can count. A lot of people will go to fraternity parties instead of the bars if they don't have a fake (you have to be at least 19 to even get into the bars, usually 21 though).

Mediocre
I live in Tutwiler. I heard they're tearing it down after this year, but either way it was a very fun bonding experience, even though the showers are nasty. Julia's, the little food market in Tut, will be the lone source of your freshman 15...I love that place! I've heard Rose towers sucks, but they're tearing it down this year. I have some friends that live in Ridgecrest and they love it, although I personally like the location of Tut a LOT more than the nicer dorms.
