Lots of Choices
There are many apartments near campus that provide discounts to students as well as shuttles that will take you to campus so you don't have to walk too far. The only downside, there are always sirens from cop cars or ambulances which can be a bit annoying.

Sports Are Popular
Everyone goes to the basketball and football games; student tickets are FREE, they handout free stuff, and our teams are amazing! It's a great experience and you feel a real sense of camaraderie when we're all chanting our Fight song! AZTECS RUN DEEP!

Television, Film, and New Media Production Major
My major is not the easiest to get into - you have to have a 3.5 gpa and compete with hundreds of other students for very few spots in the major. However, the classes are very fun and interesting and all of the teachers have previous experience in the field and provide a major insight.

Maya and Olmeca Are the Not the Best
I'm in the Honors Program and we are required to live in Maya. Maya and Olmeca are joint, 3 stories, the closest to campus, and the oldest and cheapest dorms. All of the other dorms are multiple stories with elevators and trash shoots. They have air conditioning and heat in the winter. Maya and Olmeca do not have elevators or trash shoots, and our air and heat do not work well. We had a black out a few months ago and while all of the other dorms had a back up generator, we did not and had to evacuate. Social life is great in the dorms. Every floor is so much like a little family that I swear they matched us by personality. There's always something to do, or somewhere to go.

There Is Always Something to Do
If you must go off campus, we have a personal trolley/bus stop, car rental, and shuttle. You can always get around easily. For nightlife, most people go to Gaslamp which has its own stop on the trolley. It's downtown and there are bars, clubs, shops, restaurants, etc. On campus, there are always greek parties, dorm parties, school activities like carnivals, etc. SDSU is chill and fun.
