The Life of the Land – The most unique thing about life at the University of Hawaii for locals is that you can obtain your education without leaving paradise or your family. For those not familiar to our island, there are many new activities and and lots of new people to meet.
Paradise Is Costly! With the market in Hawaii at an all time high and the inflation of the economy, it is nearly impossible for a college student to afford outside housing alone, or even with the help of another. There are some open spots available near campus, but no matter where you go, housing is expensive.
Not Enough! We have multiple computer labs around campus, but we have so many students at our campus that sometimes it's not enough to fulfill everyone's needs. The locations and the facilities are pretty decent, but the majority of the time, there is a line of people waiting for one.
A Place of Paradise – I love being at UH. It allows me to be obtain the education I need for my business field and still be close to my family and friends. Being able to go to school on this beautiful island is more than anyone could ever ask for.
Shidler Business College – The Shidler Program for Business is among the top schools in the nation and it provides you with the right knowledge and allows you to obtain the right experience from those already employed in your desired field. They provide you with lots of internships which lead to fulfilling jobs in the future. The people at the Shidler College of Business really prepare you for a bright and successful future.
Warrior Pride – The Warriors at UHM are a very proud and dedicated breed. They are dedicated to their sports and their performances bring the entire island together. Whether it is football or volleyball, the aloha spirit branches out to all and we all come out to support.
