Undecided Program

When I started at RIT I had no idea what I wanted to do. In the fall of 2009, the school started up a program for undecided students called the University Studies program. The program was very small and only had about 40 students. This program led me to my current major. The individual attention from the advisors in University Studies was phenomenal. In the program I was able to take sample classes according to my interests as well as a career exploration class to help me explore myself personally and match my interests and values to a career choice. My advisor was with me every step of the way and as I got to know myself better, she got to know me better which made her able to help me better.

Off-Campus Housing at Rochester Institute of Technology

B+

Brand New Developments

Right across the school a property developer built a few amazing complexes. These apartments are brand new, built in 2008 and 2010 and have all the amenities. Although they can be expensive compared to living in a house close to campus ($500 a month vs $300 a month), these buildings are stacked with amenities like a theatre room, gym and pool.

Campus Strictness at Rochester Institute of Technology

B-

On or Off-Campus?

The school is a dry campus, but there are gray areas about which buildings are considered on campus or off campus. Usually if public safety comes to bust the party they send everyone home and rarely seek disciplinary action against the students unless the party gets out of hand.
