Drug Safety at Clark University

A-

Drug Useage at Clark

As far as Clark goes on drug policies, it's pretty average. Of course it is stated that there is to be no drug usage or underage drinking, but they are fairly lenient here. Most nights of the week you can find people smoking marijuana, using psychedelics, or prescription meds, but I've never come across anyone doing hard street drugs. Alcohol is also prevalent on weekends and at parties, but pretty much averages with the usage at other schools. Cops are frequently on the look out but they are also pretty lenient, they'll usually let you off with a warning if you're respectful to them.

If you're not into drugs or alcohol, don't worry. There is very little pressure to do them here, and plenty of people don't.

Campus Strictness at Clark University

A-

Strictness at Clark

Clark is not a very strict campus, at least as far as I've seen. Of course campus police are always out and about, but they're not very abrasive and will only interfere if you're really doing something disruptive or dangerous. Parties with underage drinking do get busted up a lot (seeing as this campus is so small), but they usually let people off with a warning. There are also lots of RA's, and each of them differ in their strictness. Best bet is to not do anything stupid and you'll be fine. Here at Clark you're looked at as an adult and there is very little surveillance, you're in charge of you as long as you follow the basic guidelines.

Guys & Girls at Clark University

B

Decent

When it comes to boy girl relationships, Clark isn't so bad. In my opinion, the population isn't bad looking at all, lots of cuties here, and there are lots of cool people on campus. Lots of people are involved in the music scene, so if you're into that, come here. Lots of hipsters and indie kids. A lot of people here are unique in personality, intelligent, and talented. Like any school, there's lots of hooking up, but plenty of people are in relationships as well.

Computers at Clark University

Computers at Clark

Overall I'd give computers here a B. I believe every dorm has wireless connection, which is great. It does cut out sometimes, depending on your hall, but not too much. The speed is pretty good as well. There are also LOTS of computers to use on campus, including in some of the halls. Also, when you get your Clark ID card, it includes $35.00 of printing money, and each print from the library costs about 10 cents.

Transportation at Clark University

Transportation at Clark

If you have a car, you're good to go, but that can get expensive. There are lots of places in the area to eat or shop for food, toiletries, clothes, etc. If you want to get farther, then you'll have to either have a car, take a taxi, or take the public city bus. In the beginning of the year, each freshman gets a free bus pass, and you can ride the city bus to most places for free. One awesome thing about Clark is that we have Clark Escort, which is a free service that you can call and they will pick you up at your location and bring you anywhere within a mile of campus, which is great for rainy days or when you're tired. Another cool option is the ZipCar, which is a car rental service. Any student at Clark who is 18+ and has had their license for 2+ yrs (I believe) can sign up for $35, and then pay by the day or hour, with free gas.

The train station is about 2 miles from Clark, and you can walk, or take a bus or a taxi ( for $8.00) there. At Union Station you can take the train or get a Greyhound/Peter Pan bus, which is very easy, convenient, and a good price. The national airport is about an hour from here.
