Down Monument Avenue
It's typically safe in down town Richmond with crowds walking at any hour, whether to the gym or to the dorms. The popular Monument Avenue leads to the campus and Hollywood Cemetery is nearby for visual eye candy. A cultural festival is held every year because the University is so diverse. The students receive discounts at local stores and boutiques. Grace street theatre and the sports fields are at a convenient distance. There's much to get involved in!

Be Aware
There are a lot of campus police surrounding the area so that makes me feel safe. Even though there are crimes, people need to be more aware of their surroundings. I pay attention, but sometimes it is scary because the campus is so large!

Difference Indeed
The guys and girls are from all over the globe, therefore they eat different food, dress differently, and most, it seems are bilingual. I love observing and learning from both the men and the women.

Peer Pressure
I think peer pressure is more of an issue as a freshman because it's a new place and you want to seem popular. As you get older, you get more mature and responsible about drinking. Drugs does happen, yes, but not much

The Teachers Here
Since the school is so diverse, so are the professors. It is difficult to understand them at times and the lower classes are huge, therefore learning can be harder. Overall, I wish the staff and the tuition costs were better.
