University of Michigan - Ann Arbor Parking was reviewed by cmirish
D+

You Will Get Tickets – If you don't pay the meter or it runs out, they will find you. You get half off if you pay by the next business day though. Parking is often hard to find on central campus, and most freshman can't get parking if they live in the dorms, though most apartments and houses have it available and there are spots for rent. Don't park in a no-parking area or in private lots, or you will likely be towed, especially on football Saturdays.

University of Michigan - Ann Arbor Drug Safety was reviewed by cmirish
A-

Drinking Is More Common – Most people here drink socially at parties, but there are groups who don't and the University offers a lot of alcohol-free activities, though they're not as popular as the parties. You will probably be invited to drink with friends, but peer pressure is mild, and the majority of people should respect you if you choose not to drink. If they don't, they're probably not the right people to hang out with. There are a lot of cool bars and parties on the weekends if you want to drink (even if you're underage, laws are rarely enforced). You can get drugs if you're seeking them out, and some social circles smoke weed, but hard drugs are extremely rare and you'll probably never face any pressure to do drugs. Again, if you do, you're probably hanging out with the wrong people

University of Michigan - Ann Arbor Academics was reviewed by cmirish

Harvard of the West – Michigan is an amazing school academically. You get an private/ Ivy quality education for public school prices. You have to put a lot of work in, but there is such a great selection of courses that you can usually find one that will make the work seem worth it. The professors are all experts in their fields and are great teachers, which is not always true of professors who do research as well. I would highly recommend U of M.
