Greek Life Is a Good Time for Girls; Pretty Necessary for Guys
Greek life is a door to a fantastic social life, but that doesn't mean you can't have a great one without it. Sororities have formals, etc. that involve fraternities, but most girls don't need a sorority to have a great time at Colgate. Fraternities, on the other hand, dominate much more of guys' life, perhaps because the majority of guys only attend their own frat's parties and live in their fraternity houses.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell
Unless you're doing anything stupid, like walking down the street with an open container or peeing in public, campus safety pretty much leaves everyone alone. It is incredibly easy to get away with underage drinking; open fraternity parties; and drinking in your rooms. In addition, while you may get "points" or be on probation, I've never heard that these things mean ANYTHING.

Colgate Is Incredible, Both at Night and During the Day!
People often think that because Colgate is situated in a small town, our social life is lacking. NOT THE CASE!! Colgate has a fantastic night life. Between fraternities, bars that allow underage drinking, and dorm parties that rarely get busted, I guarantee that you will have a fantastic time!
In addition, I have met unbelievable professors here, who have made me interested in their subjects; pushed me to major in something I NEVER considered (Peace and Conflict Studies); and truly want all of us to succeed as much as we do!
BEAUTIFUL campus! (ranked #1 by Princeton Review two years ago!)
