Rain, Snow, Sun, Sun, Snow, Rain, Hail – Weather affects everyone's moods. People just don't go to class. On top of that, Boston's weather is ridiculous and goes by no schedule or logic. It can rain, snow, hail, throw 100 mph winds at you, and be 75 degrees sunny, all in one day.

You'll Probably Get Screwed Over – BU has limited number of nice apartments and good housing options. It is, indeed, in the city of Boston so real estate is just so expensive. The housing system at BU has a lot of wrong data in terms of floor plans and apartment listings. For example, my friend selected a 1 bedroom-split but it turned out to be a studio. Off campus housing is very expensive if you want a nice place. If you want cheap and nice, you're looking at a 15 minute subway ride to classes. For freshman dorms, it's pretty good. The rooms aren't that bad and the large dorms definitely help in making friends.

You Have to Find Your Niche – I have been fortunate enough to find a plethora of friends around the Asian American Christian community, even though I am not Christian. People are really friendly and fun and there's always something to do. MIT frat parties are on east campus, and BU Greek parties are on west campus so you can choose. If you can't find anything to do on campus, Boston is your oyster!

BU recently created a state-of-the-art exercise facility. It boasts a rock climbing wall, indoor swimming pool, lazy river, weight training and cardiovascular conditioning area, indoor running track, exercise equipment, from free weights to selectorized weight systems, to treadmills and ellipticals. They also built a new Student Union Center that offers dining services, student academic advising, multiple study lounges and common rooms.
