There is a heavy workload. Constantly rehearsing, practicing, reading, etc. The curriculum is very intensive. You technically can only take 19 credit hours (meaning you're in class for 19 hours a week) at the University but in the major you're in class for 27 hours a week. You learn everything there is to learn about acting, singing, and dancing. The facility is fantastic, with much of it having been newly renovated. The department is really great about helping you discover who you are and what you want in life. The professors are incredibly supportive and caring. I can talk to any of them whenever I have a concern with class or with my life. They are also willing to work with students on productions outside of the main stage ones. What I really love is that, not only does the department offer countless opportunities to the students, but the students make their own opportunities making it the perfect school for driven, motivated students.

Eh....Not So Great.
Awful. The restaurants are not that good. There are a few good ones likes Phoebe's cafe, Franco's Pizza (it's trashy but delicious!), etc. But in general there is nothing that great that is easy to get to. Dinosaur BBQ is fantastic but you need a car to get there.

Drinking All the Time
Drinking is a relatively big part of campus life. Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday people are going out. Beer cans and red cups are littered throughout frat row and the housing area. Most people drink. Weed is also very popular. Some hard drugs are used but again, drinking is definitely the most popular. The worst aspect is the littering of beer cans and red cups.
