Are the freshman halls separate gender by floor or is that just the RA situation?

Yup, that's right! All freshman dorms have separate gender by floor.

Do the traditional, non-renovated doubles in McCollum and Oliver have overhead lighting?

No. And they smell

When are acceptances announced? I live in the USA and have gotten all responses for the American schools, but I have to respond by May 1st. Will the responses from U of T be out by then?

Same problem here...Its killing me.They say the notifications will start shooting out from 15Th April

No they don't have to report until the end of May. They do three rounds, Feb, end of March and end of May. If you haven't heard anything, you haven't made the first two cuts.

Now that you said that ..i am more worried than ever.

it is true some of applicants got the admission in March, buy many of them were enrolled by another campus not the campus downtown.. I sent an email days ago ,and they said I should be hearing from them in mid April.

Sorry not meaning to worry you. U of t St. Geogre has higher standards than UTM or UTS. Generally if you don't make the St Gerogre cut you get offered at one of the other campuses. UTM is a GORGEOUS faciliy. This is the outline of the time line for all ontario universities.http://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-101/101-dates/ Any other questions just ask. I am a New College Alum.

Its alright. its just that i have to respond the U.S colleges by May 1st. So... the whole waiting thing is really doing a number on my psyche. The st George campus is the only one i applied because it is the only one offers engineering programe.

Furthermore , I checked the link u gave me (by the way I really appreciate your help.), but that timeline seems only applicable for Ontario students right? I am applying UT as an international student ,do u happen to know the timeline for students like me?

Sorry I don't know. U of T is nororiously slow in sending out acceptances and rejections. I wouldn't count on knowing by may 1st but that doesn't mean they won't make you an offer. Good luck its a good program. My cousin just graduated from civil last year.

Well ,thank u very much.

and, do u happen to know the engineering programe in UBC( university of British Columbia)

R they any good? If u don't mind me asking.

I just know I get in.

UBC is a good school but I don't know anything about their engineering program. U of T and Waterloo are the two must go to engineering schools in Canada.

well ,thank u anyway. In fact I get in waterloo...its

just the major is not my first choice....they offered me Business administration under Honorous Mathematics programe...So I dont feel like going there...

But thanks for your patience and time . REALLY appreciate it.

Are all dorms co-ed? Are some by floor or wing or just all mixed in?

I think there might be one dorm that is all female...?

All of the other dorms are co-ed. Floors are single sex. There is free movement from floor to floor and room to room.

Can someone can tell me about extracurricular activities? I'm especially interested in choirs/music groups but can't seem to find any information on taylor.edu. Thanks for any info!

Check this out....http://www.taylor.edu/academics/undergraduate/schools/school-of-liberal-arts/music

I know it's long, but just go ahead and copy it into your browser and click on the tab for Ensembles.

If your interested in Majoring in music than you have to fill out a form. But if you're simply interested in being in a choir, then you audition the first two weeks or so of the term. Email your admissions counselor and they can send help you if you have any more questions.

Wow. Toured the campus last weekend and drove around Northfield a bit. I have never smelled a more delicious town. MMM. Didn't want to leave. Also, I got out of the car and the St. Olaf Quidditch Club was practicing. Yeah. I don't know what else there is to say. Applying.

Since you don't seem to have a question, I will just say "yah, you caught the vibe." Sounds like you would really like St. Olaf.

That's how it is! Pretty awesome place. You can tell it's gonna rain/snow when the Malt-O-Meal smell is especially strong.

Yay! Idk if it's your thing, but we also have awesome Magic (the gathering) and D&D groups. Good luck :)
