Frats, More Like Exclusive Danceclubs
Frats at Trinity are more of a destination to go dance and meet up with the opposite sex than a "social scene". You pregame/drink with your friends in your room and then (at some point after midnight) you hit up the frats.
The parties are really fun. Great music, packed dance floors, crazy dancing. Most dancing is almost anonymous and promotes a huge "hookup culture".
Frats are exclusive and usually have someone manning the door. You get into the frats easily if you know a brother and call him to get you, or are a cute girl. The same goes for getting a beer inside at the bar. You can try your luck waiting at the door or at the bar, but it may not work out.

Culture of Drugs and Alcohol
I perceive that a great majority of kids on campus drink on the weekends. Most of those drinkers binge drink, or drink to get drunk; myself included. There is social pressure to drink to have fun, but no real direct peer pressure.
A large proportion also use other drugs. Marijuana is very prevalent and highly visible. I'd say that almost a third of campus smokes at least on occasion. Cocaine is also used to a lesser degree on weekends in association with the party scene. There no real peer pressure or social pressure to partake in these.
Campus safety is almost a non-factor in enforcing drug and alcohol use. Unless you blatantly abuse drugs or alcohol right in front of an officer, there is almost never a point when you might get in trouble for behavior.
Trinity feels like a place with no rules.

Pregame, and Head to the Frats
Most weekends are pretty similar. Pregame with your friends and then head to the frats sometime after midnight. The frats are the main destination as they offer a safe and assured raging dance party. The basement dance floors are semi anonymous zones where drunk people congregate to grind up on each other in the hopes that things might go further. Sex seems to be the driving force behind most of the partying at Trinity.
Getting into the frats can be an issue for freshmen males, and ugly upperclassmen girls. Simple fact. Someone is always manning the door. To get in, you call a friend who is a brother in the frat (males and upperclassmen girls) or get sweet on the door boy (freshmen girls). Once inside, the same goes for getting beers at the bar.
The weekend routine gets mixed up when there are other school or club sponsored events, or ticket/theme parties at the frats. Otherwise, the frats are the place to be from about 12:30am to 4:00am every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Students travel out to bars/clubs typically in their junior and senior year once they start turning 21. Even though people may have fakes, earlier bar ventures don't seem to happen for whatever reason. The bar scene is also limited because there are none within walking distance and limited transportation.

Work Hard, Play Hard
For the most part, we have very small classes and varying workload levels. The student teacher relationship is key and they are very visible and accessible on campus and through email. You are not an anonymous number and forces you to come prepared to class.
My major is a very small department. Most of the upper level classes are seminar courses where we read material for each class, discuss, and have papers periodically. The curriculum are very interesting and material moves fast. I plan to write a thesis to satisfy my major.
I also do research with a professor. We are coauthoring a chapter in a book that will be published by the time I graduate, ensuring a superior resume.
The classrooms are great for the most part. The library is phenomenal and the place where most people do their work. We also have several fantastic computer labs available 24 hours a day.

Well Put Together
I'm a guy and the girls continuously astound me with their beauty. Many sport a similar style in the winter: tight jeans, high boots, barbour jacket, and sunglasses. They will sport a baseball hat pulled down low on days they don't feel like acknowledging anyone. In the spring there is more skin, with skirts and low tops galore. Flip flops all the time. No matter their style, girls are very well put together every day.
I don't tend to notice the guys as much, but they seem to be either preppy, bro, or athletic types. I would say there aren't too many 'hunks' or gorgeous dudes tho.
There gender interaction at Trinity is strange. Most girls aren't of the sort that dudes would hang out with in the absence of sexual motives. I'm not actually sure what they do with their free time at all. The boys on the other hand "bro out", an activity that includes many sub activities (like video games, getting high as balls, watching the history channel) which are of no interest to girls. Most of the non sexual friendships between genders manage to have sex buried somewhere deep in the subconscious as a driving force, rather than common interests or common activities (besides drinking). As a whole I think both genders are immature and simple minded, which holds them back from closer interaction.
Similarly, dating and relationships are minimal. We settle most often for drunken hook ups that don't require conversation or time investment. I feel like many people end up confused or even hurt because of this, and isn't really a healthy situation. I view the steady sex and companionship of a relationship superior, but finding a cool relationship girl at Trinity is hard.
