We Have Sports Teams?
While there is certainly a good percentage of athletes on campus, little attention is generally given to the teams. Housemates will go out and support their athletic friends when they get the chance, but more attention is definitely placed on the arts, politically charged events, and lectures. With that being said, the athletic facilities are state-of-the-art and a great resource.

Women's Colleges Can Party, Too!
There is definitely more partying at Smith than one might expect. The way the housing system is set up, it's relatively easy to drink/smoke. Luckily, few people do so in such excess that it ruins the quality of life of the people around them.

Lots to Choose from, but Not Cheap
There are tons of restaurants in Northampton of all varieties: American, Asian, Moroccan, vegetarian, Argentinian, etc. One is hard-pressed to find a cheap meal outside the local pizzerias, but if you are willing to shell out some cash every now and then, you are guaranteed a great meal!

Why Would You Wanna Move Off-Campus?
Our on-campus housing pretty much MAKES the Smith College experience. Most people live in the same house for all four years, so it really becomes like a home. The dorms are spacious, beautiful and cozy, so I can't imagine why anyone would want to live in the few, small off-campus apartments available.

For a Liberal Arts School, We're Very Diverse
All elite liberal arts school are going to have a large percentage of white, well-off students. However, I think Smith does a good job of trying to bring in students of color and those from varying economic backgrounds. And of course, sexualites of all kinds are represented here—perhaps more so than any other college campus.
