Computers at University of San Francisco

A+

Plenty and Easily Accessible

There are many computers in the libray on main campus, in the computer lab on Lone Mountain campus, and in Kalmanovitz Hall (classroom building)for students to use. They can also print there as well. If those are closed there is a 24-hour computer lab on main campus that is available for use and printing also.

Health & Safety at University of San Francisco

B+

Pretty Secure

The campus is surrounded by a quiet residential area, so there isn't much fear of outsiders making students feel unsafe. The campus is pretty well lit although there could be a few more light poles in some areas. Public Safety, the on campus police, are on constant patrol of the campus throughout the day and all night. All the on campus residence halls feel very safe. Only students who live in the building have access using the swipe of their ID card to get it. There is a desk clerk at the front of every hall 24/7 for added security. There is minimal campus crime, and it is usually petty theft. For the most part, security is great, but there are a few aspects that could be improved upon.

Scholarships at University of San Francisco

B-

Apply Early

The first year I applied, I received very close to all the aid I needed because I applied for aid very early. This past year, I applied later and ended up having to take out a large private loan to cover the rest of tuition. When they say first come, first serve, they mean it. Apply on or as close to January 1 as possible to get as much as aid as you can. The school usually does pretty good about giving out aid. But don't be afraid to write a letter of appeal if you need more aid than what was given.
