Lack of Diversity

I truly believe that the further up state New York you go the more lack of diversity there is. Ithaca College has implemented a plan to increase this however it is unclear what their definition of diversity is. There is also very little support for the communities that are on campus. I am apart of the Latino community and I started a club on campus to celebrate my heritage and it was a difficult task. However, in reality you are going to have to deal with different environments and Ithaca is a different environment from New York city which is where I am from. Do not get me wrong there are a ton of friendly students but in terms of Racial, Sexual Orientation diversity it is there but not so strong.
