Columbia University is THE MOST DIVERSE UNIVERSITY IN THE IVY LEAGUE. Our school has great diversity on all levels: socioeconomic, racial, religious, and sexual orientation. We even have age diversity with our School of General Studies and all of our Graduate Schools as well as political diversity. Our campus strives for open discussion. No student ever has to hide who they truly are!

Since students live in New York City, everyone has their own personal style. There are preppy people, students who just wear their greek letters all the time, students who wear nothing but black everyday (true to NYC fashion!), and students with other styles as well. Most people are fashionable in some sense of the word, as you won't really find people coming to class in sweats unless they're athletes.

Social life is great, we have New York as a playground!
