Nothing Special, but Nothing Terrible
There's nothing here to blow you away, but school is close to the downtown district which has all the fancy amenities. Nearby is Dutch's and Red Cactus, which are both great options. Also close is Fuzzy's and Old Rips, which are great places to hang out as well as eat.

Always Something Going on
There are tons of things going on, but if you aren't Greek then your options are more limited. Greek organizations will hold mixers where they rent out a club. These mixers are often open to the student body so usually there'll be one huge party that everyone's at. House parties are good but very split between Greek and non.

Snow Days on the Reg
As little as an inch of snow is usually enough to get school cancelled for a day or two. Every year there since I've been here there has been at least one joke snow day.
