Off-Campus Housing at Simmons College

A-

Off-Campus Housing

Off-campus housing at Simmons is very separate from the college because the college is in the city of Boston. Finding an apartment is completely up to the student, and the college is not involved in the process. There are many apartments close by to the academic campus. Apartments in Boston can be very expensive. They also can feel less safe after living on-campus at Simmons and having 24-hour security. You also don't feel that sense of community as much as when you live on-campus.

Overall Experience at Simmons College

A+

My experience at Simmons

I have had an incredible experience at Simmons. The professors are amazing. They truly care about their students and do everything in their power to help you succeed. The experiences I've had outside of Simmons too, like study abroad and internships have been great learning experiences for me.

The sense of community on campus too is great. Everyone here is very accepting and respectful of others. Being in walking distance to so many other colleges gives you many opportunities to meet other college students. I personally think Simmons is the best of both worlds because we get the wonderful experience of having only powerful women in the classroom, but at the same time you get the opportunity to mingle with people from co-ed colleges in the area. Whoever says that "everyone who goes to Simmons is a lesbian" could not be more wrong. People who say that are just completely ignorant and don't accept diversity. There is a good mix of all different types of people here. We have a very diverse community with people from all sorts of different backgrounds. I've made incredible friends during my time at Simmons and I've had an amazing college experience here.
