University of Kentucky Facilities
Generally, the facilities on UK's campus are great. The fitness center and the library especially. UK is known nationally for its amazing library. Several of the housing facilities could use some remodeling, though.

Competing With Louisville
The University of Kentucky houses many different races and ethnic backgrounds within its student/faculty/staff population. I do not think UK is as diverse as some schools in the state, though. The University of Louisville has many more African American students than UK does.

Bars Are Decent
The nightlife at UK and in Lexington is decent. Freshmen parties are abundant, yet after that first year that scene gets old. The bar scene in Lexington is fun, yet Lexington is not necessarily a college town, therefore the bars often have many local residents and older aged people instead of being full of students.
