Midd= Safe
Midd feels quite safe to me. I usually keep my doors locked (even though I have a lot of friends that don't). I just don't want to risk getting anything stolen. Public Safety (our campus security) is known for breaking up a lot of parties, but it really happens when things are too out of control.

Not Bad...
Everyone can find a party that they can enjoy (different parties for different scenes), however, we do have some slow weekends where nothing is going on. In town, there are only a couple of bars for the 21 and up crowd.

Ehh...
Getting to Burlington (closest city to Midd) requires an hour drive in your car or the public bus. Midd provides a chartered bus for around 100 bucks to NYC and Boston, and the airport goes around 15 bucks. If you have a car and can bring it, you won't regret it, though you probably can skip out on doing it your freshman yr, since parking sucks for first years. On campus, people mostly walk.
