Network Reliability
The wireless in your dorm is not always reliable, and you NEED a computer of your own, a tablet/PC convertible if you're doing engineering, which is pretty expensive. There are huge Macs in the library and torgeson bridge though, and they're in great places to study too!

Challenging but Help Is Available
You can always get help if you don't understand the material being covered, but it's hard enough that you actually have to work. Additionally, all the professors are experienced and very knowledgable in their field.

Buses Are Great
The buses run all the time in Blacksburg and Christiansburg. Occasionally the service is a little low, especially on Sundays, so it's still a good idea to check the schedule before you leave.
